Robert Whitewolf

ROBERT WHITEWOLF A celebration of life will be held for Dolores resident Robert Whitewolf at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at Healing Hearts, 206 E. Montezuma in Cortez. Robert was born on August 10, 1937 in Richmond, Ind. the son of Carl Leo and Ellie (Buck) De Boo. He passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 72. On July 26, 1999, Robert married Jay Gutowski in Ohio. Robert was a commercial artist by trade. He enjoyed learning about the Native American culture and natural herbs and remedies. Surviving Robert are his wife of 10 years, Jay Whitewolf of Dolores; his children, Robin Nuse and husband, Kevin of Ohio, Michael Powell of West Hollywood, Calif., and Marie Spaulding and husband, Rodney of Austin, Tex. Robert also leaves behind two grandchildren, Madison and Ellie of Ohio; his siblings, Paul De Boo and wife, Hazel of Ohio and Jane Brawley of Ohio; and his ex-wife, Shirley De Boo of Ohio. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and by Pam Hawley. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to Healing Hearts.
