RICHARD WILSON “RICK” PIERCE Memorial services for Richard Wilson “Rick” Pierce, 41 of Cortez will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 21 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Reverend Erika Meyer will officiate. Rick was born the son of Stanley H. and Patricia R. (Denny) Pierce on Nov. 27, 1964 in Warrensburg, Mo. He passed away at his home in Cortez on Wednesday, June 14, 2006. An avid outdoorsman, Rick loved bicycling, skiing, running and golfing, as well as hunting. For a number of years Rick coached T-Ball, thoroughly enjoying his time spent with children. Surviving Rick are his parents, Stan and Pat Pierce of Cortez; his daughter, Halle Pierce of Cortez; his brother, Doug Pierce and wife, Kim, and their children, Grant and Amanda of Rochester, Mich.; and his grandparents, Wayne and Viola Denny of Cortez.
