REYNOLDS HUGHES "BUD" ALDERMAN Funeral services for Mancos resident Reynolds Hughes "Bud" Alderman will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 28 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mr. Alderman was born January 18, 1923 in Indianapolis, Ind. the son of Reynolds Raymond and Mary Blanche (Hughes) Alderman. He passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Southwest Memorial Hospital. Bud married JoAnn Hulse June 1, 1948 in Brownsburg, Ind. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 1, 2008. During his working years, Bud owned a radio repair shop. He was a World War II Veteran, having served as a Radioman on B-26 bombers. He flew 62 missions. Bud retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis after 29 years in electronics. In 1989, he and JoAnn relocated to Mancos, Colo. Bud was a member of Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM, Brownsburg, Ind., a member of Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, and he was a member of Brownsburg Christian Church. Surviving Bud are his wife of 59 years, JoAnn of Mancos; his son, Gary Alderman of Indianapolis, Ind.; his daughter, Jill Gearhart and husband, Jim of Jefferson City, Mo.; his granddaughter, Rachel Gearhart of Craig, Alaska; his grandson, Reuben Gearhart of Paducah, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Alderman, Roberta L. McIntire and Lucia Rae Epps. Memorial contributions may be made in Bud's name to the American Cancer Society or to the Shrine Hospital for Children Chicago, 2211 N. Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707.
