RAYMOND COLOROW Wake ceremonies for Raymond Colorow are pending. Raymond was born on October 24, 1951 in Roosevelt, Utah. He passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 in Durango, Colo. at the age of 62. In Raymond's earlier years he worked as a cattle rancher then later went to work at the Casino. In 1970 he married, Janice Mills Lopez. He was known as always being happy. He loved leather working, beadwork, singing at the Pow Wow and was a devoted Sun Dancer. Fishing, hunting, writing and reading were favorite pastimes of Raymond's. Building mechanical cars, mechanics, and tinkering with things were hobbies he truly enjoyed. Another uniqueness of Raymond's was his love of listening to classic country music and Coca Cola. Raymond is survived by his wife, Janice Mills Lopez of Towaoc; his children, Elena American Horse and husband, Dale, Karlee Lopez and husband, Sebastian, Jacob Colorow, Jacob Lopez, Walter Ridley all of Towaoc, JoAnne Marshall of Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, Charlotte Morris of Olijeto, Ariz.; grandchildren, Jadarae "Boo Boo" Dennison, Sammie Morris, Lela Ray Colorow Lopez, Davidson Lopez, Nena Lopez, Simone Lopez, Emmarie Lopez, Jonas Nanaeto, Avee Nanaeto, Dakota Marshall, Tyrone Bracker, Trevor "Buffalo Calf" Cuthair, Steven Marshall, Rico Lopez, Adrianna Marshall; as well as numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family; and his siblings, Marshall Colorow and wife, Bonnie of Myton, Utah, Jeanette Reed and husband, Robert of Myton, Glenda Lopez and husband, Norman of Towaoc, Jolynn Pargeets of Missouri, Gwen Colorow Tapoof of Ft. Duchesne, Utah, Rosie Mountain Lion of Bridgeland, Utah, Dellena Mountain Lion and husband, Elmo of Bridgeland, Utah, Lisa Mountain Lion and husband, Arletto of Ft. Duchesne, Utah, and Byron Mountain Lion of Tridell, Utah. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Frances (Ankerpont) Colorow; his twins, Jessie Ray and Meredith Colorow; an infant daughter; and siblings, Coulsen Colorow, Arthur Mountain Lion Jr., Gerald Mountain Lion, Jay Mountain Lion, David Colorow and Hewitt Colorow.
