Ralph Harley Howell Jr.

RALPH HARLEY HOWELL JR. Ralph Harley Howell Jr. was born June 22, 1927 in Grand Junction, Colo. the son of Ralph Harley and Eleanor (Kramer) Howell. He passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 84. Ralph was a World War II veteran and following his service he attended college at the old Fort Lewis College in Hesperus. He then went on to the University of Colorado where he graduated. On October 31, 1952 Ralph married Constance Louella Ogden in Denver, Colo. His career was spent in the mining industry and Ralph was a member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers. Ralph loved shooting guns. He was involved with the Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Club. He also enjoyed time spent hunting and camping. Ralph had an avid interest in Southwestern archaeology. Surviving Ralph are his children, Ralph Howell III of Mancos, and Debi Cox and husband, Kyle of Fort Collins, Colo.; his grandchild, Keelin Cox; and by his sister, Mary Bliss and husband, Robert of Lompoc, Calif. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and by his wife, Connie Howell. Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Ralph Harley Howell Jr.'s name to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
