Ralph Eli Jordan, Sr.

RALPH ELI JORDAN, SR. Graveside inurnment services for longtime Cortez resident, Ralph Eli Jordan, Sr. will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 25 at the Cahone Cemetery. Shelby Smith will be officiating. Visitation has been set for Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Ralph was born on October 1, 1913 in Corsicana, Tex. the son of Walter and Ollie (French) Jordan. He passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home at the age of 91. Surviving Ralph are his children, Ralph E. Jordan, Jr. and wife, Virginia of Beaumont, Tex. and Patricia J. English of Austin, Tex. He leaves six grandchildren, John Christopher Jordan of Houston, Tex., Jason Scott Jordan of Beaumont, Tex., Carey Christine Jordan of Houston, Tex., Sarah Bruce, Katherine English both of Austin, Tex. and Elliot English of Missoula, Mont.; his great-granddaughter, Blake Hartley Hetherington of Houston, Tex.; and his brother, Willard Jordan and wife, Dodie of Carlsbad, N.M. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Ruby Helena (Cruzan) Jordan.
