PRESTON RAY SCOTT Funeral services for Durango resident and former Cortez resident Preston Ray Scott will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Preston passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his home. He was 45. Preston was born to Tex and Mary Scott on December 3, 1967 in Cortez. He grew up in Cortez and attended school there. He enjoyed all aspects of music and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Preston loved his family and most of all, his son. Preston is survived by his companion of six years, Ceola Kennedy; his son, Kobe Scott; his mother, Mary Scott of Cortez; his siblings, Toni McClanahan of Durango and Eric Scott of Mesa, Ariz.; and by many nieces and nephews.
