PEARL McMANUS Funeral services for Pearl McManus, 89 of Cortez, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Pearl was born February 19, 1919 in Illinois, the daughter of Ellis James and Jennie Well (Sisco) Moore. She passed away at Vista Mesa Assisted Living Center on Thursday, May 29, 2008. Pearl was a wonderful homemaker, enjoying time spent crocheting, embroidering, quilting, gardening and canning fruit. Surviving Pearl are her sister, Mary Ashbaugh; and her brother, Audie Moore, both of Cortez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence McManus; and by her siblings, Wilkie L. Moore, Viola Moore, Bessie Looney, Olen Moore, and Bearl Moore. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Pearl McManus with Hospice of Montezuma, PO Box 740, Cortez.
