Paula Sue Graves

June 18, 1941 — December 24, 2019

Paula Sue Graves beloved wife, mother, grandmother, (Granny Graves), sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord last Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at the age of 78, at her home in Cortez, Co. with her husband, Marvin, by her side. Memorial service for Paula will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 100 N. Market St., Cortez, Co. at 10:00 am.
Paula was born June 18, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Paul and Blanche Peters. She married Marvin Graves January 6, 1969 in a little Wedding Chapel in Houston, Texas. She and Marvin would have been married 51 years on their next anniversary.
Paula was a diverse and very talented lady who wore many hats in her 78 years. From an executive secretary to the owner of an insurance company in Houston to assistant manager of Houston VA Hospital Federal Credit Union to assistant manager of McDonnell Douglas Federal Credit Union in Tulsa, Ok. to truck driver, running long distance across the United States, to traveling singer/chaplain to truckers throughout the nation, songwriter and recording artist, to chaplain at M&M Truck Stop, to chaplain at Vista Grande Assisted Living to disc jockey at local radio station and pastors wife. But most of all she was a loving wife and mother who loved and served the Lord with all her heart. Her greatest desire in her heart was to see all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin, her children, Mark Ryan (Terri), Broken Arrow, Ok., Jim Ryan (Rene), Salt Lake City, Utah, Tari Fry, Cortez, Co. her sisters Linda Amos and Carol Peters, both of Tulsa, Ok., Daughter-in-law, Teresa Ryan, Haskell, Ok. 5 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Ruth Carleton of Franklin, TX.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Blanche Peters, her son, Scott Ryan, her father-in-law, Newell Graves and her mother-in-law, Lorene Bennetts.
She will be missed by a lot of people.
