PAUL MARTIN BENNETTS

Paul Martin Bennetts, 65, passed away peacefully in his home on July 8, 2022. Paul was born May 30, 1957 to Patricia and Ron Jensen. In September of 1968 Paul was adopted by C.O. Bennetts. Paul grew up in Kersey, CO and graduated from Platte Valley High School in 1976. Paul met Cindy when they both served as state officers for FBLA. After attending Northeastern Junior College he moved to Cortez in 1977. Paul and Cindy were married September 22, 1978.

Paul loved 70’s music, history, playing softball, camping, and anything to do with his family. He had a quick wit and enjoyed a good laugh. He always found ways to love and serve those around him. His profound faith shined through his life no matter what circumstances he faced. Paul left a legacy of faith, generosity and kindness. He was especially known for his great hugs!

Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia O’Connor; and his father, C.O. Bennetts. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cindy Bennetts; his children, Andy (Crystal) Bennetts, and Amanda (David) Robinson; his grandchildren, Skylar, Davian, and Sariah Robinson, and Xander, and Asher Bennetts; his great-granddaughter, Nikaiya Robinson; his siblings, Dave (Pam) Bennetts, Steve (Heather) Bennetts, Julie Cila, Kathryn Bright, Rebecca (Matt) Youngwirth, R.C. (Karla) Bennetts, and Chris (Mary) Bennetts; as well as many nieces and nephews.
