Paul D. Hager

PAUL HAGER Funeral services for Paul Hager were held at 2 p.m., Monday November 27 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Cortez Cemetery. Paul was born May 3, 1934 in Mancos, Colo. the son of Benjamin and Tina (Wright) Hager. He passed away at his home on Friday, November 24, 2006 at the age of 72. Paul was a very helpful man who loved woodworking. He built many toy corrals for children. He spent much of his life working with horses and cattle. Surviving Paul are his life companion, Thelma Jean Gregory of Cortez; his children, Rodger A. Hager of Grand Junction, Colo., Sam S. Hager and wife, Vickie of Cortez, Sheila J. Porter and husband, Norman of Nampa, Ida., and Paula J. Ibos and husband, J.B. of Bentonville, Ark.; and 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving Paul are three brothers, Raymond Hager of Cortez, Ernest Hager of Santa Monica, Calif., and Charles Hager of Fort Worth, Tex.; and two sisters, Jewel Spruell of Oregon and Zola Mae Lee and husband, Art of Primeville, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Susan K. Greer in 2004.
