PATRICIA "PAT" MURPHY A Memorial Mass will be offered for Patricia "Pat" Murphy at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Father Pat Valdez, C.R. will officiate. Pat died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 as a result of injuries received in a traffic accident. Patricia "Pat" Murphy was born on October 20, 1954 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to Marian and Delbert Murphy. Pat grew up and attended school in Zeeland, Mich. She continued her education attending Grand Rapids Community College. Pat's work career began in Holland, Mich. before becoming employed with the U.S. Government as an employee of the Indian Health Service. With this service she worked in Hawaii, Alaska, San Carlos and Tuba City, Ariz. and currently in Shiprock, N.M. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Delbert; and by her grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Marian Murphy; by her brother, Gregory; by her niece, Caitlin; and by her step-mother, Mary Murphy. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and inurnment will be scheduled at a later time in Michigan.
