PATRICIA KERRY ‘TISH’ McHENRY Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident Patricia Kerry “Tish” McHenry will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Reverend David Dahl will officiate. Interment will follow at the Summit Ridge Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Tuesday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Tish was born the daughter of Stanley M. and Leona (Gawith) McCabe on August 10, 1950 in Cortez. She passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Durango on Friday, August 29, 2005. Tish was 54 years old. On February 8, 1969 in Dolores, Tish married John M. McHenry III. Building a life centered around her family, Tish drew much happiness from her family’s various activities. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was devoted to her dogs. She loved working in the yard and flower gardens. Tish was loyal to Colorado sports teams following the Denver Broncos, Avalanche, and Rockies. Surviving Tish are her beloved husband of 36 years, John McHenry III of Cortez; son, John McHenry and wife, Joye of Dolores; daughter, Jennifer McHenry of Cortez; and four grandchildren, Jordan, Cydney, Cael, and Devon. Her parents, Stanley and Leona McCabe of Dolores; and two brothers, Bob McCabe and wife, Sandy of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Bill McCabe of Tucson, Ariz. also survive Tish.
