PATRICIA KAY CASSELS Memorial services for Patricia Kay Cassels will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Reverend Suzanne Listemann will officiate. Kay was born the daughter of Alva Ellis and Violet Myrtle (Lakey) Heath on August 10, 1941 in Salem, Ore. She passed away at her home in Cortez on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the age of 65. Kay loved doing handiwork, spending many hours crocheting, sewing, doing needlework and crafts. Surviving Kay are her children, Joseph Ellis Schindler or Clairemont, Ga., Katherine Ann Omes of Sour Lake, Texas, Deborah Violet Herrera of Price, Utah, Karla Kay Chance of Cortez and Laura Lee Allen also of Cortez. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren,; and her sisters, Loris Finch of Cortez, Mary Lingo and husband, Don of Cahone, and Sharon Meadows and husband, Brian of Cortez; as well as her beloved and most faithful pets, Mr. C, Chachi, and Sabrina. Kay was preceded in death by her sister, Phyliss Maness; a grandson, Mark Dunegan Jr.; and her parents.
