Nolan Berry

NOLAN BERRY Memorial services for Nolan Berry will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 10 at Ertel Memorial Chapel, 42 North Market Street, Cortez, CO. Nolan Berry, 91, of Cortez, CO, and formerly of Boulder City NV, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Vista Grande Inn in Cortez. He was born November 22, 1919 in Mesa, AZ to Samuel Preston and Ivy Fern (McHenry) Berry. Nolan, a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II, was a general contractor and worked in So. Nevada for many years before relocating to New Mexico and finally to Colorado. He also taught drafting in the Shiprock New Mexico School District for several years. Nolan is survived by his wife of 39 years, Bettye Berry of Cortez; sons, Jerald Berry and wife Cora, Mike Berry, and Thomas P. Berry, all of Las Vegas, NV, step-daughters, Linda Henry and her husband Jim of Las Vegas, NV and Donna Carducci of Henderson, NV; 23 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. Nolan was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert Dale Berry, Lee Wesley Berry and Samuel Berry, and son S. Steven Berry.
