NELLE JEANNE MARLMAN A Funeral Mass for Nelle Jeanne Marlman, a longtime Mancos resident, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 23 at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church in Mancos. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Nelle Jeanne Richards Marlman (Jeanne), daughter of Charlie and Vertie Richards, was born to life on August 25, 1915. She was born to Eternal Life on May 17, 2011. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Lewis Marlman, on April 25, 1996. She is survived by her five children: Richard, Lewis and wife Karen, Jeanne, Gary and wife Tilly and Donald and wife Nancy; eight grandchildren: David, Matthew, Meghan, Loretta, Daniel, Bethany, Jason and Glenn, and one great-great grandchild, Danica Jeanne, born to life on May 17, 2011. Jeanne was a truly remarkable human being, setting a shining example for others to live by. Despite many hardships and heartaches along the long and rocky pathway of her life, without hesitation she always put the needs of others, especially those of her family, before her own. She was loved greatly, appreciated deeply, and will be sorely missed, but we are happy her earthly burdens have been lifted and she is now enjoying the heavenly rewards she so richly deserves.
