MERYLIN DENNISON Funeral services for Merylin Dennison, lifelong resident of this area, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Pastor Anthony Maes of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Merylin was born September 7, 1930 in Dolores the daughter of Millard Roy and Daisie Bell (Pratt) Malone. She passed away at Vista Grande Inn on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the age of 77. On April 11, 1953 Merylin married LaVaughn Aaron Dennison in Aztec, N.M. Together they shared 53 years of marriage before LaVaughn's death. A caring and devoted wife and mother, Merylin will be missed by many. Surviving Merylin are her son, Allan Blake Dennison of Cortez; one brother, Harvey Malone of San Diego, Calif.; and three sisters, Edith Stephenson of Chino Valley, Ariz., Carolin Goza of LaPlata, N.M., and Sandra Rogers of Las Vegas, Nev. Merylin was preceded in death by her husband, LaVaughn in 2006; her son, Berry Patrick Dennison in 2007; by her parents; and by her siblings, Laurel Dennison, Tim, Annabelle, Ilene, Larry and Barbara.
