Mary Eloise Chacon

Mary Martinez Chacon went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 14, 2019 in Cortez Colorado, surrounded by loved ones. She was 88 years old. Mary Eloisa Archuleta was born to Patricio and Elviria Archuleta on June 2, 1930 in Hesperus, Colorado. She resided in Mancos, CO, Moab, UT, and Cortez, CO. She worked at the Match Factory from 1952-1977 and at B & H Lumber from 1986-1996. She was an active member in the Assemblies of God Church.
She is survived by her siblings, Domi Morfin, Gilbert (Francine) Archuleta and Pat(Loraine) Archuleta, her children, Patsy (Louis) Cordova Cortez, CO, Paul (Terrie) Martinez of Farmington NM, Raylene (Paul) Casias of Salt Lake City, UT, eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, two husbands, Paul Martinez (40 years) and Manual Chacon (14 years), and her son Stephen Martinez.
A viewing will be held on Ertel Funeral Home (42 N. Market St.) on Monday, March 18th at 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Evangel Assembly of God Church (209 W. 5th St.) in Cortez on Tuesday, March 19th at 10:00 AM.
