DONALD LYNN SANDERS Funeral services for Donald Lynn Sanders will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 26 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Lynn was born on September 30, 1950 in Cortez the son of Donald Ray and Dorothy Marybelle (Shearer) Sanders. He passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. at the age of 57. On March 12, 1983, Lynn married Cheryl Ann Carlson in Aztec, N.M. The couple shared 24 years of marriage. Lynn and Cheryl were outdoor people. They enjoyed camping and riding horses. Lynn had a longtime affection for motorcycles that started when he was 13. He and Cheryl spent many happy days taking rides together. Lynn was the ultimate jokester who loved pulling pranks on those around him. Surviving Lynn are his loving wife, Cheryl Sanders of Cortez; his children, Michael Ford and wife, Reggie of Pleasant View, Colo., Cori Archuleta and husband, Patrick of Portland, Ore., and Marcy Green and husband, Rue of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; his grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, J.T., Kayla, and Jake; his siblings, David L. Sanders of Cortez, and Murna Hinton and husband, Ricky of Mesa, Ariz., Cherol Acree and husband, Mark of Cortez, and Nova Slavens and husband, Gary of Cortez; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
