LESLIE BOOTS SMITH Funeral services for Leslie Boots Smith will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Boots was born on November 3, 1940 in Mancos, the son of Willis Leslie and Glee Dora (Farni) Smith. He passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2007 in Amarillo, Tex. at the age of 67. Boots was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Masons. His working career saw him as a truck driver. Boots retired from the Teamsters Union. Surviving Boots are his sons, Wesley Smith and wife, Kristine of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Kevin Brown and wife, Lisa of Los Lunas, N.M.; his sister, Marcheta Newholm of Mancos; three grandchildren; and his extended family, Larry Cooksey and wife, Patty of Tucumcari, N.M.
