LEROY KETCHUM Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident, Leroy Ketchum will be held at 1 p.m. at the North Chapel Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Blanding, Utah. Interment will follow at the Blanding Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon at the Ertel Memorial Chapel from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Leroy was born on May 16, 1943 in Cortez the son of Lloyd Cantsee and Dorothy Ketchum. He passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at his home in Towaoc at the age of 61. In 1984 in White Mesa, Utah Leroy married Annie Lee Rabbit. Leroy was a member of the Native American Church. He worked well with his hands crafting bed frames, flutes, and doing mechanic work. He used to play basketball, enjoyed hunting and most recently liked joking with his health care nurses. Surviving Leroy are his wife, Annie Ketchum of Blanding, Utah; his mother, Dorothy Ketchum; his children, Nathan Dutchie and wife, Leona, Marcus Roy Ketchum and friend, Sophie all of White Mesa; and Vernon Dutchie Jr. of St. George, Utah. He leaves a granddaughter, Syannah Rose Ketchum; two sisters; his brother, Harold Taylor; and his half brother, Clarence Cantsee; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Preceding him in death was his father, Lloyd Cantsee.
