KENDALL CHESTER MALINOWSKI Memorial Mass services for longtime Dolores resident, Kendall Chester Malinowski will be held at 10 a.m. On Saturday, December 13 at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Dolores. Father Pat Valdez, C.R. will be officiating. Kendall Chester Malinowski was born on August 28, 1940 in Trenton, N.J. the son of Chester Anthony and Eva Monica (Leszle) Malinowski. He passed away at his home surrounded by loving family in Dolores on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the age of 74. Kendall, known as "Ken" by all those close to him moved to Dolores after he retired from the City of Prescott, Ariz. in 2002. It was here that he and his wife Barbara built their dream home along the Dolores River. Through their 48 years of marriage he and Barbara always enjoyed traveling through the beautiful mountains of Colorado, fly fishing, four wheeling, camping with the family, and just spending time in the great outdoors. He also used to spend countless Sundays watching his beloved Broncos with his two sons. In addition to all of the trips and football games, Ken was very fond of spending time just sitting outside any airport watching the planes land and take off. Ken grew very fond of planes after several years of piloting commercial aircraft. Ken was also a very proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the Army from 1963-1965. Ken will always be remembered as a very generous, kind man who always enjoyed helping other people, whether it be plowing neighbors driveways in the winter, changing a strangers tire, or lending an ear to a fellow Vietnam Veteran. He also had a real knack for making people laugh or feel good about themselves. Most importantly Ken loved the Lord and always made time to attend church every Saturday and help with any and all church functions. He loved spending time worshipping the Lord with his wife, grandson, and close friends. Surviving Ken are his by his wife, Barbara Malinowski of Dolores; his children, Paul Malinowski and wife, Carrie of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Marie Malinowski and Bryan Jensen of Eagan, Minn., Mark Malinowski and wife, Christine of Dolores; and grandson, Grant P. Malinowski of Prescott, Ariz. Memorial Funds will be accepted and made payable to: Our Lady of Victory
