KATIE ANNE PICKENS A gathering of family and friends will be held for Katie Anne Pickens at Lewis-Arriola Community Center on Tuesday, September 6 from Noon until 3 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Katie was born October 24, 1983 in Aurora, Colo. the daughter of Larry Lee “Lucky” Pickens and Sarah Anne (Gomer) Middleton. She passed away in Loveland, Colo. on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the age of 27. Surviving Katie are her mother, Sarah; Mark her step-father; Alex, Jett, Matthew; Eleanor her beloved lab and the other canines Emma, Lilly and Buddy; her grandparents Gary and Donna; Lucky her father; her other siblings Jessie, Lucas, Tori and Andi; her aunt and uncle Kelly and Terry; her cousins Jacy, Kacy, Ryan and Abby; and her grandparents, Sonya, Steve, Cookie and Larry. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Broken Road Foundation, 36 Fairway Lane, Littleton, Colo. 80123. Please make a notation “Katie’s Road”.
