Julienne Larmusiaux Johnson

JULIENNE LARMUSIAUX JOHNSON Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Julienne Larmusiaux Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. The daughter of Jules and Sylvie (DeBishop) Larmusiaux, Julienne was born on June 20, 1921 in Boussu, Belgium. She passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. On December 1, 1945, Julienne married Carlton L. Johnson in Boussu, Belgium. She was a volunteer for the Pink Ladies at the hospital. Julienne was also very involved with Meals on Wheels and a home demonstration club. She took great joy in gardening and the beautiful flowers she grew. In her spare time she liked to knit and sew. Taking care of her family gave Julienne great joy, she was a wonderful cook who kept them well fed. Surviving Julienne are her husband of 60 years, Carlton L. Johnson; her children, Carl Johnson, Donny Johnson, and Sylvianne Johnson, all of Cortez; her daughter-in-law, Reva Johnson also of Cortez; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Johnson; two sisters; and one brother.
