JULIAN OLIVER LOOMIS SR. Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Julian Oliver Loomis Sr. will be held on Tuesday, October 24 at the Evangel Assembly of God Church at 11:00 a.m. Julian was born January 20, 1950 in Pagosa Springs, Colo. He passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 67. Julian is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Loomis; by his children, Julian Oliver Loomis, Carlos Loomis (Christy), Consuello Loomis, Eugene Rodriguez (Quintina), Ryan Loomis, Rebekah Fernandez (Martin); by his grandchildren, Cameron, Madison Loomis, David , Racheal Clah, Naudia Loomis, Tyler and Tia Smith, Mariah, Elizabeth, Alicia, Cesar, Eugene Rodriquez Jr.,Vallentino, Joseph, Corde and Cali Rodriguez, Levi Loomis, DJah Carr, Julienne Martinez, Selina and Carlito Fernandez; by his mother, Juanita Gallegos; by his step-children, Ricky Martinez, Abby Randal, Barbara Martinez, and Patrick Pate Martinez; and by his siblings, Rosendo Loomis (Olga), Ruthie Montoya (Levi), Sophia Jacobson (Danny) and Gloria Garduno (Eddie). Julian was preceded in death by his parents, Max Gallegos, James Loomis, and Celedonia Loomis; by his siblings, Jimmy Gallegos, Jerry Gallegos, and Little Joe Loomis; and by his step-daughter, Debbie Randal.
