JULIAN LARS LOPEZ Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Julian Lars Lopez will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 27 at the residence of Shirley Eyetoo, 165 Mike Wash Road in Towaoc. Interment will follow at the Towaoc Cemetery. Mr. Boyd Lopez and Mr. Terry Knight will officiate. A Wake has been scheduled for Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. also to be held at the Eyetoo residence. Julian was born on October 11, 1954 in Cortez, the son of Billy Lopez and Marie Hight. He passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at his residence at the age of 52. Julian was a devoted member of the Native American Church. He attended Oscar Rose College in Oklahoma City, Okla. for two years. He was a very talented artist. Julian loved to go hunting, polishing rocks, cross country running, and boxing. He enjoyed dancing at the Sundance celebrations. Surviving Julian are his daughter, Tennille Monique Lopez of Shiprock, N.M.; two granddaughters, Kamisha and Kayana Nez; a grandson, Kaiyen Cleveland; and his siblings, Shirley Eyetoo, Buddy Lopez and companion, Rebecca, Boyd Lopez and wife, Esther, Prisllena Lopez and husband, Dennis, Shelly Lopez, Vernon Lopez and wife, Lorna, Patty Lopez, all of Towaoc, Priscilla Ritze and husband, Alvin of California, Lavern Lopez, Mindy Lopez, Baily Cotonuts, Glenn Cotonuts, and Berlinda Cotonuts, all of Towaoc. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Raymond Eyetoo, Ramus Lopez Sr., Ramus Lopez Jr., and Tracy Lopez.
