Johnny Andrew Garcia

Graveside services for Mancos resident Johnny Andrew Garcia will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2020 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mancos, CO. Mr. Leroy Garcia will officiate.
Johnny Andrew Garcia was born 24 April, 1945 and raised in Cebolla, New Mexico and was one of 6 children of Herman and Genevieve Garcia. He passed away on Saturday, 14 November, 2020 at his residence at the age of 75.
On 29 October, 1965 he was drafted into the US Army as a vehicle mechanic and did a 1 yr tour in the Vietnam War. He then returned to Fort Carson Colorado where he departed the service. On 14 March 1970 he married the love of his life, Gloria. He then began his 48 years of living and raising his family in Mancos. He was a beloved father of Johnny, Patrick, and Adam and adored by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Johnny served the Mancos Community as a School Board President and a youth sports coach. He was a Surveyor for the URS Corporation. Johnny and Gloria retired in Mancos where he carried out his many hobbies of hunting, fishing, ranching, and being outdoors.
