JOHN MARTIN JENNINGS Longtime Arriola resident John Martin Jennings went to be with his Lord Jesus, April 9, 2013. John was born March 26, 1927 in Winkelman, Ariz. to John Newcome and Maude Finch Jennings. John married Ruth Ann McClatchey in Chandler, Ariz. on April 3, 1949. John served his country in the Navy during World War II, stationed in Quam. He worked as an Operating Engineer and farmer. He was a long time member of the Cortez Christian Church serving as an Elder. John is survived by his wife, Ruth of 64 years; two sons, David (Karen) of Florence, Ariz. and Terry (Teresa) of Mancos; daughter, Debbie (Scott) Dillon of Naturita; sister, Jo (Archie) Birdwell of Mesa, Ariz; sister-in-law, Marie Jennings of Tonto Basin, Ariz.; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Jennings; brother, Glenn Jennings; and niece, Sue Jennings Marks. Memorial services will be held at the Cortez Christian Church on Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O.
