Joan Mahaffey

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for Cortez resident Joan Mahaffey.
Joan was born November 30, 1935 in Yellow Jacket, CO the daughter of John William and Marjorie Mary (Wilson) Crowley. She passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her residence at the age of 85.
Surviving Joan are her loving husband, Gary Mahaffey of Cortez, CO; her children, Kenneth Mahaffey (Tammy) of Dolores, CO, Greg Mahaffey (Tina) of Yellow Jacket, CO, Tracy Keene (Wayne) of Cortez, CO, Tanis Knuckles (Kent) of Pleasant Grove, UT, and Tasha Whatcott (Daryl) of Yellow Jacket, CO; her siblings, Dwayne ‘Buzz’ Crowley (Reta) of Cortez, CO, Leo Crowley (Connie) of Flagstaff, AZ, Don Crowley (Sara) of Farmington, NM, Lisle Crowley (Brenda) of St. George, UT; her grandchildren, Steven Mahaffey, Travis Mahaffey, Mathew Mahaffey, Taryn Hight, Kacee Mahaffey, Laurel Herzog, Trent Knuckles, Baylen Garza, Beau Garza, Chesleigh Keene, Whitney Keens; and 21 great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Phillip Crowley; and two granddaughters, Clarin Knuckles, and Jill Knuckles.
