JO ANN ALDERMAN Funeral services for Mancos resident Jo Ann Alderman will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Jo Ann was born on March 23, 1927 in Brownsburg, Ind. the daughter of Joseph and Estelle (Carlstedt) Hulse. She passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. at the age of 81. On June 1, 1948, Jo Ann married Reynolds Hughes "Bud" Alderman in Brownsburg, Ind. Jo Ann was an active member of the Masonic organizations of Eastern Star and Job's Daughters. She was a talented florist for 15 years. In her spare time she liked to collect antiques. Surviving Jo Ann are her children, Gary Alderman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jill Gearhart and husband, Jim of Jefferson City, Mo.; her granddaughter, Rachel Gearhart of Craig, Alaska; her grandson, Reuben Gearhart of Paducah, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Reynolds "Bud" Alderman; and her siblings, Al Hulse and Charline Klingler. Memorial contributions can be made in Jo Ann Alderman's name with Shrine Hospital for Children Chicago, 2211 N. Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707.
