Jimmie Lee 'Jim' Skinner

September 6, 1935 — July 31, 2022

Graveside services for Cortez resident Jimmie Lee ‘Jim’ Skinner will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Arriola Cemetery.
Jim was born September 6, 1935 in Peru, KS the son of Louis and Lucille Skinner. He passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his residence at the age of 86.
Jim was an avid lover of the outdoors. He spent his time fishing, hunting and riding his 4-wheeler. He was a hard worker and took pride in his accomplishments. He owned a mechanic shop and spent much of his younger life racing motorcycles and cars. He proudly displayed all his trophies in his work shop for everyone to see and talk about. He had many loves in his life but those that took priority were his little sister, his motorcycles, his friends and his grandkids. He loved the Lord fiercely and his Bible was a faithful companion.
Surviving Jim are his son, Randy Skinner; his sister, Julie Pike; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Donna Gene Skinner; his son, Shannon Skinner; and his brother, Jack Skinner.
Although Jim will be deeply missed here his family and friends are celebrating his home coming with our Lord.
