Jewell Walter "J.W." Chapman

JEWELL WALTER 'J.W.' CHAPMAN Jewell Walter 'J.W.' Chapman was born in Carol County, Missouri on February 26, 1920 to Walter B. and Fanny Lee (Johnson) Chapman. He passed away on August 5, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Durango at the age of 85. J.W. was a Veteran of WWII and was a resident of Cortez since 1963. J.W. is survived by his children, Danny Chapman of Casa Grande, Ariz., Randy Chapman of Nev., Charles Chapman of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Karen Chapman of Durango, Joe Chapman of Prescott, Ariz., and Cindy Hutchinson of Cortez; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Audrey Chapman who passed away on August 30, 1983. No services have been planned at this time.
