Jeanette Diana Dean

February 3, 1938 — January 25, 2018

Jeanette Diana Dean Born: February 3, 1938 St. Cloud, Minnesota Died: January 25, 2018 Cortez, Colorado Jeanette Diana Dean passed away peacefully on January 25, 2018 at Southwest Memorial Hospital. She was the 8th child total of 13 kids born to Corrina Evangeline (Doford) and Clifford Earl Dunn. She grew up in Aztec New Mexico, where as a teenager she was a waitress at her dads restaurant. She met and married her husband H. Paul Dean in her twenties and they were married for 58 years until Paul passed away in 2014. They moved around in the beginning of their marriage between California, New Mexico, Colorado, Finally settling down in Mancos, Colorado. They had 4 beautiful children. Debra Sue Baker (deceased), Sharon Dawn Higgins of Queen Creek, Arizona. Daniel Lester Dean (Yvonne) of El Paso, Texas, Paula Rae Sender (Rueben) of Cortez, Colorado. Jeanette was full of life, compassion, and a whole lot of spunk. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed the laughter that her children and grandchildren brought to her life. When you showed up at her house no matter who you were, you were always welcome; she never met a stranger. You were greeted with a hug and I Love you. When you left her house your belly was always full and you knew that this special lady was one of a kind. Her faith was something that she kept close to her heart. She never went a day without reading Psalms 23. She was the greatest GMA ever. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her pride and joy. She often would say look at what me and papa started and look at the legacy we are leaving behind. She was a lifelong member of Eastern Star. She leaves behind many lifelong friends including Jimmy and Esther Cook along with many family members. Jeanette will be forever missed but she is now home up in heavens with the rest of her family that have passed on before her. In our family we never say good bye it is always see you later. Rest In Peace to the best woman any of us that were lucky enough to know her.
