JAY LESLIE McCABE Memorial services for lifelong resident Jay Leslie McCabe will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cortez. Jay was born January 12, 1944 in Cortez and passed away January 15, 2014. On November 26, 1985 Jay married Beth Baxstrom. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Francis McCabe; and his mother, Thelma (Gawith) McCabe. Jay is survived by his wife, Beth; and his stepson, Richard Baxstrom of Edinburgh, Scotland; as well as his brothers, Dean (Roberta) McCabe of Los Lunas, N.M., Pat (Nene) McCabe of Gillette, Wyo., Rex (Terry) McCabe of Cortez, and Reed (Nihla) McCabe of Dolores; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his mother, Thelma.
