Jasper Rudy Vallejos

A celebration of life for Cortez resident Jasper Rudy Vallejos will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the American Legion in Cortez. Inurnment will follow at Cortez Cemetery.
Rudy was born March 25, 1953 in Cortez, CO the son of Alfred Tony and Abenilde (Herrera) Vallejos. He passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his residence at the age of 65.
Surviving Rudy are his spouse, Marsha Vallejos of Cortez, CO; his children, Lorena Schlauger (Cory) of Olathe, CO, Markus Frans and Brayden Vallejos; his grandchildren, William Bailey of Grand Junction, CO, Chantell Thomas of Belton, TX, and Justin Schlauger of Olathe, CO; his great granddaughter, Kairi Presley of Montrose, CO; his brother, Ruben Vallejos (Debbie) of Denver, CO; his sister, Lynette Swope (Michael) of Denver, CO; his mother-in-law, Brenda Frans of Cortez, CO; his brother-in-law, Dale Baker (Amanda) of Cortez; his sisters-in-law, Sheila Baker (Daniel James) of Cortez, and Christina Vega (Alonzo) and their children, Leon and Leonna of WY. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dennis Vallejos.
