James Harry "Jim" Kleidon

JAMES HARRY "JIM" KLEIDON Memorial services for longtime Summit Ridge resident James Harry "Jim" Kleidon will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9 at the Kleidon residence 15295 Road 35, Summit Ridge. Jim was born May 14, 1948 in Chicago, Ill. the son of Edward H. and Ann (Gedrimas) Kleidon. He passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at his residence at the age of 63. Jim attended Purdue University in Indiana where he played football from 1966 to 1970. He went on to graduate from Fort Lewis College in 1977 with a degree in Anthropology. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and he loved the beauty of the Four Corners. While enjoying a beautiful day of skiing at Stoner, Jim met Karol Seeley Henderson in March of 1980. After dating for a few years the couple became husband and wife in December of 1985. In 1987 Jim and Karol were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Kendra Ann Kleidon. Jim was an archeologist by trade whose hard work and knowledge in the field was well known. He was highly respected by fellow archeologists. Jim loved listening to blues and jazz music. He was a wonderful father and husband, Jim will be deeply missed. Surviving Jim are his wife, Karol Kleidon of Summit Ridge; his daughter, Kendra Ann Kleidon of Denver, Colo.; his brother, Edward H. Kleidon and wife, Judi of Reno, Nev.; four nieces; and one nephew. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made in James Kleidon's name to Crow Canyon Archeological Research Center.
