Jacee Rosemary Butt

January 20, 2004 — May 22, 2004

JACEE ROSEMARY BUTT Graveside services for Jacee Rosemary Butt, infant daughter of Vernon and Dewilla Butt of rural Monticello, Utah, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 28 at the Piute Springs Cemetery at Ucolo, Colo. Jacee Rosemary Butt was born January 20, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vernon and Dewilla (Mason) Butt. She went to stay with Jesus on May 22, 2004. Before Jacee was born her mama had a dream about a baby dressed in pink and God said she is a gift I am giving to you, so don't be worried. Three days before her birth the doctors told us that Jacee would be a dwarf, a little person. We knew she would be an extra special child, a little angel from above and that the road ahead of her would be a hard one. She was very intelligent. She could speak all of her families' names, daddy, mama, her brothers Devin and Terry, and Ayla for her sister Kayla. When her mama would sing, Jacee would sing along, especially when the song was about her. Jacee had surgery on May 12. Complications set in and her mom and dad sat by her bedside praying for healing. Jesus gave her the ultimate healing on May 22 when He took her home to be with Him. As Jacee departed to be with Jesus she gave us the most beautiful smile and her eyes were looking up. We knew Jesus was there taking her and comforting her. It is the hardest thing for her daddy and mama, Devin, Terry and Kayla to give her to Jesus. We had her for such a short time. There were so many things we wanted for Jacee to do and see in life and share with her. We will miss her so but there are many memories that remind us of Jacee. She wants us to live a life that shines for Jesus so we can all be with her before too long. Jacee was preceded in death by her paternal grandmothers, Mary Gardner and Janet Butt, maternal grandparents Ray and Maxine Mason, and maternal uncles, Terry Mason and Gary Mason. She is survived by her parents, Vernon and Dewilla Butt, one sister Michaela, two brothers Devin and Terry, all of the family home. Her paternal grandfather, Jim Butt survives her, as well as uncles Jimmy and Nancy Butt and Mitchel and Lynette Mason, aunts Natalie and Monnie Rogers and Rhonda and Bill Waschke, cousins Sidney Wellman, Michael Alexander and Brittany Waschke.
