J D Estep

Funeral services for Cortez resident J D Estep will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Elder Roger Echols will officiate. Visitation will take place after the service. A private interment will follow.
J D was born December 13, 1938 in Norwood, CO the son of Manson G. and Gertrude (Brunmet) Estep. He passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
Surviving J D are his daughters, Valarie Francisco of Cortez, CO, and Robin Estep (David Jameson) of Cortez, CO; three grandchildren, Kevin Judson (Misty), Jason Francisco, Lacey Simmons (Lyle); one great grandchild, Kelton Judson; his brother, Alfred Estep (Donna) of Waco, TX; his sister, Joyce Pirnat (Paul) of AR; and his sister in law, Nancy Thurman of Cortez, CO. J D was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Estep; and his sisters, Helen Estep and Frances Estep.
