Harris Robert Hannah Court

Harris Robert Hannah Court passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Cortez, Colorado at the age of 75.
Harris is preceded in death by his parents David and Doris Court, the mother of his children Louise W. Court, twin sons Trevor and Troy Court, and a granddaughter Kheiyana Puefua.
Harris is survived by his brothers Russell, Cam, and Bruce Court; Son Travis and wife Wendy Court; son Jared Court; daughter Sheila Court, daughter Krisinda and husband David Puefua; daughter Jennifer and husband Alberto Chavez. Grandchildren Kristen Perea, Chelsie and husband Dylan Aiono, Anastasia Aguallo, Kingsley Puefua, Chaase Perea, Grady and Connor Court. Great grandchildren Mayson Aiono and Mikah Dean.
Harris was born in Raymond, Alberta, Canada on January 25, 1944. He graduated in 1961 from Raymond high school; then served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Southwest Indian Mission-Navajo speaking, where he met Louise. They married in the Salt Lake Temple and attended BYU together. His passion for Navajo history and culture kept him in the four corners area. He loved running the Flagstone Meadows Ranch Bed and Breakfast where he was able to share his knowledge of the Southwest with visitors from all over the world. His last place of employment was at Notah Dineh where he had the opportunity to continue to communicate in Navajo to his customers. He loved the people he worked with.
Harris enjoyed taxidermy, rodeoing, baking and cooking.
The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel at 26525 County Rd. M, Cortez, CO 81321 at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2019. There will be a closed casket viewing prior to the funeral service at 9:00 AM for family and friends. He will be laid to rest at the Cortez cemetery located in Cortez, Colorado.
