GILBERT JOSEPH ARCHIBEQUE Memorial services honoring Gilbert Archibeque’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 26 at the Cortez Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Anthony Maes will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Gilbert Joseph Archibeque, a lifetime resident of Cortez passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in Canonsburg, Penn. Gilbert is survived by his wife, LaVerne, of 65 years; his son, Eddie of Canonsburg, Pa.; his sister, Martha Martininez of Cortez; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Adelaide and Ben Archibeque; his brothers, Ray and Sipriano; and by his son Arthur Duane.
