Georgiana Mary "Georgia" Eubanks

GEORGIANA MARY "GEORGIA" EUBANKS Memorial Mass for longtime Cortez resident will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Reverend Pat Valdez, C.R. will officiate. Georgia was born December 15, 2016 in Dickinson, N.D. the daughter of Joseph and Rose Ann (Ridl) Samek. She passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her residence at the age of 89. Georgia loved spending time in her garden. She enjoyed many different arts and crafts and sewing. Reading and music were activities she also enjoyed. Georgia was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Surviving Georgia are her children, Audrey Smith (Larry) of Winton, Calif., Judy Leavell (Donnie) of Cortez, Ken Braun Sr. (Denise) of Cortez, and Maureen Gomez (Vince) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Joe Eubanks; and by her son, George Braun.
