Florence Rose Clark

FLORENCE ROSE CLARK Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Florence Rose Clark will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 3 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Towaoc Cemetery. Terry Knight Sr. will officiate. A visitation has been scheduled for Monday morning from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Florence was born on July 13, 1920 in Towaoc, the daughter of Mormon Joe and Susan L. Cuthair. She passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. In past years Florence was a very devoted member of the Native American Church. Reading the Bible and listening to Christian music were among some of the most important things in her life. Florence also enjoyed time spent gardening and sewing. Surviving Florence are her daughter, Velma Mills and husband, Norton Mills Sr. of Towaoc; and her grandchildren, DeVaney Mills and wife, Daisy, Flaydina Knight and husband, Terry Knight Sr., LaVella Mills, Becky Cooley and husband, Shaun, Johnathan Clark, Nancy Duncan and husband, Kevin, Erin Clark, Ian Clark, Tracy Scott, Sherman Scott, and Randy S. Lee. She also leaves behind her nieces, Leora Knight, Emma Cuthair, and Florence Silas; her nephew, Ira Cuthair; several great-grandchildren; and a very large extended family. Preceding Florence in death were her parents; her husband, Joe T. Clark; and her children, Vernal Clark, Ronnie Clark Sr., Richard L. Clark, Derrick Clark, Sherry Dutchie, and Gina Clark.
