EULOGIO FILBERT GALLEGOS Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident Eulogio Filbert Gallegos will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 at the Evangel Assembly of God Church. Pastor Jeff McDonell will officiate. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. The family will greet Filbert's friends and extended family Monday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Evangel Assembly of God Church. Filbert was born March 11, 1955 the son of Eulogio and Soraida Gallegos in Cortez, Colo. He passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the age of 58. Filbert lived in Cortez most of his life. He loved to hunt and fish. He worked for Bobby Higgins with Big A Well Service, and retired from Cortez Mobile Home & Transfer Service. Filbert leaves behind his children, Eric Garcia of Cortez, Ed Garcia of Bloomfield N.M., Millie Medina and Vickie Medina both of Grand Junction, Colo. He also has four grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Archibeque from Utah, Gilbert and Alice Archibeque of Colorado, Jean Gallegos from Cortez, Cordie Walton from Cortez, Adolph and Judy Gallegos from Cortez, Fred and Anita Gallegos from Cortez, John and Jan Oaks from California., Danny and Teresa Gallegos of Dolores; and sister-in-law, Priscilla Gallegos of Utah; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. Filbert was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ben Gallegos; his sister, Charlotte and Joe Aguilar. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangel Assembly of God, 209 W. 5 St. Cortez.
