Edna May Parker

December 12, 1933 — March 24, 2020

Edna May McMillan was born December 12, 1933 in Lebanon Colorado to Virgil and Bertha (Roelfs) McMillan. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert, and her sisters Betty, Wanita and Bernice McMillan. Her first husband Fred Edwards, and twin grandchildren Earl LeRoy and Charity Dove Edwards also preceded her in death.
Edna went to school at Lebanon until her high school years where she attended and graduated from Cortez High School. After graduating from MCHS she attended Harding College in Oklahoma. Upon returning home from college she married Fred Edwards, who had been honorably discharged from the Army after serving for two tours in the Korean Conflict. To this union were born three sons, Franklin, Earl and Michael. When all of her children were old enough, and attending school full time, she started to work in the banking industry as a Bank Teller at Citizen’s State Bank. She eventually became the Teller Operations Officer and finally retired to spend more time with her husband Floyd.
After the loss of her first husband she married Floyd Parker who had recently lost his wife. This union added another son – Donald Parker to her family. Floyd and Edna went to Alaska on their honeymoon and then continued to travel extensively throughout the Southwestern United States, exploring, rock hunting and four wheeling. The two travelers finally acquired a winter home in Bouse, Arizona and began to split their time between their home in Lebanon and the place in Bouse.
Edna is survived by her husband Floyd, her four sons and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren with a host of good friends. She passed away peacefully at her winter home in Bouse, Arizona surrounded by her family the evening of March 24, 2020.
