DOROTHY VIRGINIA KRATER Graveside services for longtime Cortez resident Dorothy Virginia Krater will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 17 at the Fairview Cemetery in Yellow Jacket. Mr. Raymond Boyd will officiate. The daughter of Frank Walter and Eva Elizabeth (Worthington) Shrader, Dorothy was born on February 25, 1917 in Michigan City, Ind. She passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home at the age of 89. Surviving Dorothy are her children, Jim Krater and wife, Sharon of Cortez, and Joe Krater; her son-in-law, D. Royce Higgins of Cortez; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank William Krater; and her daughter, Marie Higgins. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Hospice of Montezuma.
