DOROTHY ROBERTA NEAL Funeral services for lifelong area resident Dorothy Roberta Neal will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 22 at the Arriola Bible Church with interment following at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Kent Slyter will officiate. Dorothy was born December 15, 1920 to Robert and Arry (Cree) Swanner in Springfield, Colo. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the age of 90. Proceeding Dorothy in death were her husband, Robert in 1999; her parents; grandson, Scott McComb; sister, Lois Carver; and brother, Jack Swanner. Surviving Dorothy are her children, Chuck Neal and wife, Tiffany and Norma McComb and husband, Jerry all of Cortez; and three grandchildren, Chris Neal and wife, Laura of Winter Haven, Fla., Kelly Neal and wife, Tammy of Fort Collins, Colo., and Trent McComb and wife, Wendi of Grand Junction, Colo. Also surviving are a sister, Lorraine Sheppard of Phoenix, Ariz.; and great grandchildren, Morgan Neal, Chase Neal, Alishia Neal, Finn McComb and Macy McComb. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scott McComb Memorial Scholarship Fund, 827 W. 7th Street, Cortez, Colo. 81321; the Arriola Fire Department; or a charity of your choice.
