Donna Hare Hyatt, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born in Santa Ana, Calif. to Marquise and Fountell Hara (deceased) on November 19, 1934. Donna retired from White Sands Missile Range in Las Cruces, N.M. She spent 27 years in the Atmospheric Science Laboratory. Donna started her career in Tooele County Utah at Dugway Proving Grounds as an Administrative Assistant. Donna loved volunteering at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez and at the Womens Abuse Shelter in Las Cruces. She loved her dog Wiggles and spending time with friends at the Senior Center in Cortez. Donna was a caring and passionate sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Loralee Cole and husband, Don; her children, Steve Ellis and wife, Dot, Penny Searcy, Roger Ellis and wife, Lisa, Eddie Jacobs; and Tammy Perkins and husband, Rich; by her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren (and one to be born August 2018). Per her request there will be no services.
