DONNA DEAN JOHNSTON Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Donna Dean Johnston will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Donna was born on September 9, 1943 in Selma, Calif. the daughter of Clifford and Jean Lee (Cravey) Voorhees. She passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at her residence at the age of 64. Donna worked in many different capacities. She was a firefighter, worked for Hospice of Montezuma, and she also worked for the Montezuma County Sheriff Department. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed horseback riding. She loved all animals. Donna was known to help anyone in need. Surviving Donna are her devoted companion and friend, Paul Lambert of Cortez; her children, Lisa Dekruger and husband, Steve of Fruita, Colo., Robert Bryan of Kansas, Clifford Bryan and wife, Rhoda of Cortez, Misty Flores and husband, Ramon of Mesa, Ariz., Rusty Bryan and wife, Missy of Carney, Okla., and Nick Muff and wife, Jessica of Cortez; her sister, Lee Millican and husband, Burl of California; and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandchildren, Tommy Jordan, Thomas Fisher, and Brandon Robinett. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's name to Hospice of Montezuma or the American Cancer Society. Donna's family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Montezuma for their care and assistance.
