DEVANEY CLARK MILLS Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident DeVaney Clark Mills will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. DeVaney was born October 16, 1963 in Cortez the son of Norton Mills Sr. and Velma Clark (Cuthair) Mills. He passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 in Towaoc at the age of 49. DeVaney graduated from M.C.H.S. and went on to receive his diesel mechanic certification from Vo-Tech. He spent many years welding, working on heavy equipment and also fire fighting. In his free time, DeVaney enjoyed fishing, cooking for holiday meals, and hunting. He also loved fixing things, music, dogs and taking care of his yard. DeVaney was a very caring and generous man. He was always there to help his family or anyone that was in need. Surviving DeVaney are his wife, Daisy Mills of Farmington, N.M.; his parents, Norton Mills Sr. and Velma Mills, both of Towaoc; his children, Chenoa Edison of Farmington, N.M. and Dyllon Mills of Durango; his sisters, Flaydina Knight and husband, Terry of Towaoc and LaVella Mills of Towaoc; and by several nieces and nephews. DeVaney was preceded in death by his brother, Norton Mills Jr.
