DAROLD EUGENE JANSEN Memorial services for Darold Eugene Jansen, 85 of Dolores, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 1 at the Dolores Community Center. Darold was born in Lena, Wisc. on April 28, 1930 to Gilbert and Lucille (Adams) Jansen. He passed away at his Dolores home on Thursday, May 7, 2015. On July 25, 1978 Darold married Janice Slayton in Dolores. A very active man, Darold loved fishing, fly fishing and hiking, as well as busying his hands with gardening and carpentry. He was an excellent bowler, having posted a nearly perfect score of 299. Darold was determined and hardworking, and found himself successful in most anything he attempted. Surviving Darold are his wife of 36 years, Janice Jansen, of Dolores; his children, David Jansen and wife, Paula of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dana Jansen, Chris Jansen and wife, Sandy, Preston Slayton and wife, Singne, and Jefferson Patty and wife, Karen, all of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Tanner Patty of Pagosa Springs, Colo. and Flagstaff, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his siblings, Delano Jansen, Tulio Jansen, Linda Koenig, and Cathy Karman and husband, Bill, all of Wisconsin.
